Obituary of Virginia Bonanno

Virginia Bonanno, passed away peacefully at the Villa at Terracina Grand in Naples, Florida, surrounded by her family on May 17, 2018. Virginia was born Vincenza DiFrisco in Harlem, New York on July 14, 1940 to the late Giacomo and Concetta DiFrisco. She grew up in the Bronx, NY and graduated High School from The Villa Maria Academy in 1958. Virginia continued her education and graduated from the City University of New York - Hostos School of Dental Hygiene in 1960. Virginia went on to have a very successful career as a Dental Hygienist working for multiple dental practices in the Bronx and Westchester where she was respected and loved by her patients and co-workers alike. While thriving in her professional life, she managed to also be a devoted, loving Mother to her 3 daughters. Later in life, Virginia met her beloved husband, Joseph Bonanno who she was married to for the last 19 years of her life. Together they moved to Naples, Florida to enjoy travel and the good life of warm weather and palm trees. In addition to Joseph, her devoted and loving husband, Virginia leaves behind her beloved daughters, Allison Linger (Tim), Christine Cupaiuolo, Joyce Rosely (Brett), step-daughters, Lori Gagliotti (Lino) and Kari Bonanno; 7 granddaughters, Morgan and Robin Linger, Gianna and Alexandra Pierro, Heidi and Brooke Rosely, Gabriella Gagliotti; 2 beloved siblings: Camille Pandolfelli, Dominick DiFrisco; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY, on Tuesday, May 22 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel at The Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY, on Wednesday, May 23 at 11:00 AM.
