Obituary of Guzman Castillo

Guzman G. Castillo, 97, of Yonkers NY, passed on December 21, 2021. He passed away in Andrus on Hudson, in Hastings, NY. Guzman was known as Papi' to most, or Gilberto, as that was his middle name. He was born in Ecuador on August 4, 1924 to Florentino and Emma Gonzalez. He grew up in Ecuador, where he spent all of his childhood, and part of his adult life there, the other part was when he came to New York in 1983, where most of his children resided (Yonkers). He worked for Ubesa Company as a supervisor, inspecting bananas for exporting worldwide, for 39 years. Loving father is survived by his four children, Aida Frabotta (John), Corinda Ferraro (Nick), Alba Castillo, William Castillo (Gina), and pre­deceased daughter Graciela Toala (Ruben). Loving grandfather to Lauren Cassella, Michael & Nicole Ferraro, John Erik Frabotta, Kristel Castillo, Oscar, Jessica, & Jennifer Toala, great grandchildren Michael, and Derek. He is also survived by his sister Sara Zambrano (Manuel), his other pre­deceased siblings are Rigoberto, Micaelina, Olga, Guillermo (Alegria), and Alfonso (Nelly).

Visitation is Monday December 27, 2021 3:00 - 7:00 at Sinatra Funeral Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, NY. Mass will be held at 10:00 am, at St. Paul Church, 602 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10705
