James F. Finn passed away on March 5th, 2022. Born on September 30th, 1936, James was a lifelong resident of the Bronx and Yonkers, NY. He grew up along 138th St and lived in the University Heights, Creston and Kingsbridge sections of The Bronx before moving to Yonkers, and worked as an elevator operator in Long Island City and the Garment District for many years. James was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Aquinas Council 757. He was a devoted fan of the New York Mets and football Giants, who loved going to ball games, spending time with family and greatly enjoyed old movies, with The Quiet Man and White Heat among his favorites. James particularly enjoyed helping to organize community events with his close friends at Woodstock Manor in North Yonkers after his retirement. James was predeceased by beloved brothers Andrew (Gene) Finn and Vincent Finn, and sister-in-law Annie He is survived by a sister, Veronica (Ronnie) Mecalianos of Long Island, sister-in-law Ida McManus of the Bronx, brother-law-Martin Mulhern (Joan) of County Mayo, Ireland, nieces and nephews Keri Adams and Colleen Teeling, Kevin Finn (Laurie), Ellen Sagarino (Bob), MaryAnn Brennan (Marty), Danny Robinson, Robert and Peter Mecalianos, and several great-nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Christ the King Church, N. Broadway, Yonkers on Thurs., March 10 from10am to 11am. Mass of Christian burial will follow. Condolences may be conveyed at frenchblasl.com.
