Obituary of Ana I. Verrino
Please share a memory of Ana to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the family of Ana Isabel Verrino, age 49, of Mount Kisco, New York, daughter of Segunda Hernandez, announces her passing as she went to be with the Lord November 6, 2024. Born on May 31, 1975 in Guatemala, Ana came to the United States at age 20 with hopes and dreams and eventually proved the intelligence and infectious personality to make them come true. From a referral, Ana obtained a position in Mount Kisco with a wonderful family who became her "American Family" and led her to grow roots here. Ana found her way to Neighbor's Link where she learned to sew and met her future business partner. With little schooling Ana learned English, worked hard, and created a thriving upholstery business (AC Designs Ltd) located in Bedford Hills. Ana became a model US Citizen and has inspired many to do the same. Ana was truly a beacon of light in the community.
Ana is survived by her beloved Husband Michael of 9 years: Mother Segunda Hernandez and siblings Marta, Carmen, Adolfo, Augusto, Amanda, Elsa, Abel, and Maritza. She was preceded in death by her brother Antonio. Ana is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, Godchildren and her cherished American family Regina, Mark, Laura, Kerri, and Ryan.
Ana was a remarkable woman whose kindness and free spirit radiated and sweetly impacted the lives of everyone who crossed her path. Her inner beauty and thoughtfulness were as prevalent as the beautiful welcoming smile on her face which she used to make those around her feel cherished and loved. Ana wore her heart and soul on her sleeve; meeting her once was enough to leave a lasting impression.
Ana's legacy of hard work, love for family, friends and life will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. A memorial service we be held at Oeker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home at 262 Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549 on Sunday November 10th from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM followed by mass Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2 Green St. Mount Kisco, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations in memory of Ana to Neighbor's Link, the non-profit organization that helped fueled her success, and for which she loved.
